Born to United States Army parents in Wurzburg, Germany, Josh spent the first decade of life moving from Germany to Texas, California, Oregon and Arkansas, where he graduated from University of the Ozarks with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Having the opportunity to attend university on the edge of the Ozark National Forest, Josh developed an ongoing love of many outdoor activities. Soon after university, Josh met his beautiful wife, Leah, and they moved to Austin together in 2003.
The vibrant, growing community of Austin was a perfect place for them to start a career and a family! In the two decades he’s been in Austin, Josh has lived in neighborhoods from Riverside, to Copperfield, Northwest Hills, and Crestview. He worked in a microbiology laboratory for more than 17 years before deciding to join his wife Leah in real estate.
Josh’s attention to detail, precise and meticulous work ethic, derive from nearly two decades working in a lab. His ability to get along with anyone, a true “people person,” is something that has always been a part of him. Josh knows that buying or selling a home is one of the most significant decisions we all have, and the emotional, financial, and logistical considerations in the process all have to be very carefully considered. His goal is to help make the home buying/selling process as smooth, easy, and rewarding as possible for all of his clients.
When he’s not helping with real estate transactions, Josh loves to spend time, including road trips, with his wife, Leah, son, Orion, dog, Nila, and cat, Sonny. He loves a wide variety of music, especially live music. He is an Austin FC super fan. Most summers and ski seasons he will spend time in the Rocky Mountains, climbing 14ers and looking for steep ski runs.

Leah grew up in the real estate industry. She began training as an appraiser and realtor assistant under her Uncle Sid, who was a successful real estate professional in Southern Arkansas. Upon graduating college with honors in 2003, she relocated to Austin and moved up quickly within the mortgage industry eventually serving as the Texas Regional Marketing Coordinator for a national mortgage company through 2007. She then transitioned to a closing coordinator role and the pleasure of helping people make their dreams of homeownership come true fit her personality and passion perfectly.
Leah met her amazing husband, Josh, in the piney wood of Southern Arkansas and they relocated to Austin together. They adore Austin, Texas and the people they meet and work with each day! If you keep an eye out, you will spot the active couple and their son all over town, from the soccer fields of Crestview to the hike and bike trail of Ladybird Lake. In her downtime, Leah enjoys yoga, cooking wonderful and unique meals for friends and family and catching live music across town and across genres.
Most recently she has served as the Transaction Manager for a luxury Austin broker where her focus was everything from marketing and listing assistance to closing coordination. Leah says she owes her thorough understanding of residential real estate to the amazing people she has had the pleasure of working with along the way.
Leah’s experience, keen eye for detail and sensitivity to clients’ needs has been essential as she has helped families, investors and first time home buyers through the home sell and purchase processes. She believes that knowledge and patience, as well as integrity, are a must in this industry. As a Closing Coordinator at Realty Austin, Leah’s passion for the details and client service is evident in all of her work.
